I just recently noted that I now can choose a polynomical solution, versus an iterative solution in the focus module. I guess this is new, because I haven't seen it before.
So I just wanted to say that this is a great improvement for me!! It works magic. Not only is the focusing more reliable with this (less false solutions, less failures) but it is also far quicker. Now I get focus with 8-9-10 iterations, whereas it sometimes needes 20+ before. This gives a very significant increase in the balance between imaging time - focusing time.
